Ok, so we have presented here a selection of 14 of some of the top cordless d rills on offer today but we haven’t finished yet!

Check out our full list of over 40 cordless drills

What you see in the chart above is only a taster of what is available to you.

There are just so many different manufacturers, models and types on offer in the marketplace and it can be really difficult to make the right choices.

What we have done here in the full listing is to narrow it down for you so that you only have to sort through the ‘cream of the crop’ and including only the models that have average ratings of 4 and above.

How to Select Your Ideal Cordless Drill

Above you will find the interactive chart that we have already discussed. Check out what is on offer and make a choice based upon perhaps a particular manufacturer, power output, weight, battery type etc.

Maybe power is your thing as you have a lot of heavy duty tasks to undertake?

Or, are you a casual user and more interested in getting something lightweight?

To make things even easier for you we have listed below our top 5 cordless drills that we personally would be more than happy to have in our own power tool arsenal.

Top 5 Cordless Drills

Without doubt, any of the drills listed in our top 5 would be excellent choices; although obviously to some extent it will depend upon what use you have for it, ‘horses for courses’ and all that so you need to sum up what you have in mind for your drill first – casual or heavy duty for instance – but you will find that these all have very good user experience and ratings.

Dewalt DCD775KL – 18V Cordless Hammer Drill

DEWALT DCD775KL-F Hammer Drill

The Dewalt DCD775KL is a lightweight yet powerful cordless drill with a great price tag. At around $215 on Amazon.com this is a good, solid, quality hammer drill that most people would be more than happy to add to their tool kit.

It has the benefit of an on board LED light for those difficult to see awkward spots and lithium-ion batteries for lightweight, yet powerful operation. This battery technology does not suffer from the high self discharge rates of Ni-cad type batteries so they are always ready to go after a period of non use.

The DCD775KL weighs in at around 4.1 pounds and includes dual speed operation of 0-500 rpm for high torque applications and 0-1,700 rpm when you need the extra speed, plus a ½ inch chuck and 17 clutch settings.

Hammer action on the lower speed setting is 0-8,500 BPM and 0-29,000 BPM on the higher speed setting.

The Dewalt DCD775 KL includes two batteries, a kit box and a 30 minute charger to ensure that you are never out of action.

This drill has 115 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 so a pretty popular choice and rightly so. We think this is a great offering from Dewalt for the power user who wants plenty of oomph without too much weight.

For around $190 you are getting an extremely high power drill complete with two lithium-ion batteries and a carry case.
