SKIL 2354-01 iXO Cordless Screwdriver Review

Skil 2354-01 Cordless Screwdriver

We’ve been sharing an awful lot of “compact, powerful and lightweight” DIY power tools with you over the last few months, but that’s exactly how we like it, am I right? Well, the SKIL 2354-01 iXO 4-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Palm-Sized Cordless Screwdriver is no different, and we wouldn’t have it any other way to be honest.

The Lithium Ion power battery can hold a charge for up to 18 months, that’s more than what most of the other power tools manufacturers can say for their creations.

With the SiteLight LED work light, you’ll have forward and reverse LED indicators that allows for better visibility and even shows the drilling direction, -so you’ll really feel like a pro.

If you’ve been doing a lot of handyman work around the house recently, you’ll know how hard it can be to reach certain areas like confined spaces. With this grand DIY tool, -which is equipped with an offset attachment, you’ll manage to reach all those difficult places with the utmost of ease. A crafty right angle attachment simplifies these types of tasks even further, so no more frustration.

Should you decide to purchase the SKIL 2354-01 iXO, you’d be pleased to know that it’s not only the iXO SGK cordless screwdriver and right hand attachment you’ll be getting, but also a 10-piece bit set, a soft protective casing and a charger. Users overall seem rather happy with this power tool, mostly scoring it a perfect 5 when looking at some reviews on Amazon, however, others are not so happy with everything.

So, what aren’t they happy about? The first unhappy customer I saw, I’m sorry to say, but I just had to laugh at silently (you know, on the inside). The 2 “major” complaints from this user, despite loving the tool generally, are as follows: Number 1, this guy complained that the packaging it came in was “hard to open”, and secondly, the “charger was inferior” to the previous iXO model he had, -and claims that this specific model we’re discussing has the “Same output power and charge time, but just not as classy as the original.” Honestly, what I think, is that if you can’t even open a plastic casing then you really shouldn’t be using any DIY power tools in the first place; but that’s just me…

The same guy mentioned above also said that the “Performance of these little drivers is pretty incredible.” As for more valid, actual concerns, one user said this: “The only problem I have is the directional switch is positioned right under where it is most comfortable/practical to put an index finger when using the tool. And it’s easy to inadvertently push the switch while exerting drive pressure.”

So the SKIL 2354-01 iXO takes a bit of getting used to, that’s all. As for positive feedback from buyers, there are simply too many to mention here. This one scored a near-perfect 5 star rating, mainly because of its functionality and incredible battery power, compared to other, similar DIY tools.
