Not only extremely affordable, but a very durable and accurate when it comes to cutting, the SKIL 5780-01 Beam Laser Circular Saw seems like a great buy.
But before you make your decision, sit back and read our review where will be looking to give you as much details as we can within the shortest amount of time.
After doing a bit of research on this new SKIL Laser circular saw, here are just some of the things we’ve uncovered:
This model consists of two Beam lasers, ensuring utmost precision professional cutting that easily matches up to more expensive competitor models. Another thing that helps to drastically improve the accuracy of the saw is its 51° bevel adjust with a positive stop at 45°. If you need to make narrow cuts, there’s an anti-snag lower guard setting that reduces snags, resulting in a safer, cleaner, more precise cut.

Another thing I really like about this power tool, -and something that I believe any electric saw should have, is the safety lock. This safety lock has its trigger guarded by a hard piece of plastic, ensuring that your saw never starts by accident, something that can happen very easily normally. The SKIL 5780-01 Circular Saw has a ball bearing motor construction which doubles the lifespan of the tool, surely a nice addition taking into account that this one is priced very low on Amazon. But before deciding on whether it’s a bargain of a lifetime, let’s have a look at a few other real buyer reviews:
“This one works great, the saw is powerful and cuts cleanly and the laser lines up exactly with the cut. The laser helps you get a straighter cut than otherwise possible sans jig (for me anyway) because I can look down ahead of the cut on the workpiece and keep my laser in the lines out there. That might not make sense until you use the saw – but if you buy it you’ll see what I mean. Straightest circular saw cuts available without a jig – if accuracy is important to you but you need the portability of a circular saw then this is the right tool for you.” –Peter (verified buyer – 5/5 rating)
“The laser light guide is fantastic. Finally… a straight edge on every board. I highly recommend this saw.” –Marjorie Connors (verified buyer – 5/5 rating)
“This was a replacement for my 20 year old Craftsman. The new saw has a better feel, but I did like the trigger start on my old saw. This one is quickly adjustable for depth and angle. Laser is easy to use and helpful. Only complain is push button start rather than trigger.” –Res (verified buyer – 4/5 rating)
As you can see, the only complaint so far is that it has a “push-button” start button instead of a trigger, which might be an issue for those used to the trigger buttons, -but for newcomer DIY people this doesn’t make too much of a difference and is definitely worth the investment.
